1 · The question
An afternoon on one EB-5 question
A client weighing an EB-5 investment asked one of our partners a simple-sounding question: did any of several proposed project addresses qualify as a Targeted Employment Area? The answer decides whether the investor puts in $800,000 or $1,050,000.
The research went the slow way, address by address, finding each census tract and working through its unemployment figures, and it took an entire afternoon. Somewhere in the middle of that list, the thought arrived: there should be a program that finds this answer in seconds. There wasn't one. So we built our own. It still runs today, free, on our firm's website and at tea.visavigilai.com.
2 · The data
Six government datasets in one structure
Then we noticed how much of immigration practice ran the same way. The Visa Bulletin is spread across 130 separate monthly pages. USCIS processing times change without notice and keep no history. Every LCA, PERM and H-1B filing is public, yet scattered across government files no one can easily search.
So we began collecting all of it: more than six million records from six government datasets, cleaned into one structure and refreshed automatically. Every free tool on this site runs on that data.
3 · The platform
The system we wanted to run our own practice on
Our own practice had the same problem. Our software made us type the same facts again and again, and fill out forms manually from answers the client had already given us. When we decided to leave one of those systems, we found it had no way to export our own clients' information. That settled it.
In 2026 we built what we had always wanted: one integrated system for the whole life of a matter, with the workflow of an immigration practice, including LCA, Public Access File and PERM compliance, built in. Any firm that uses it can export all of its data, at any time. We tested it on real cases, end to end, before anyone else touched it. Now we are opening it to other immigration firms.
